Thanks to the very good people at Beau's All Natural, 3030 is proud to present the second installment of their trans-Ontario concert series.  Bringing some of the best music from our eastern Ontario compatriots to the Center of the Universe, and pairing it up with the best beer produced from the same region just seems like a natural fit.  Goes down nice and smooth, like a delicious pint of Lug Tread.

Phantom Shores (Ottawa)

With strong roots in Canadian music, the music of Phantom Shores has been described as part east coast, part folk, part indie, but all sexy. 

The band began as a side project of Craig Mainprize, while he was in the Ottawa band Jetplanes of Abraham.

Drummer Dave Smith helped to flesh out and arrange the music in its early stages, injecting a unique rhythmic sensibility that brought elements of jazz, and world music to the fore of the songs.  The multi-talented Renee Leduc (Jetplanes, As the Poets Affirm) jumped in on violin, viola, keyboards, accordion, and vocals.  Last but not least, bassist, and guitarist, Ken Ain (Nick Fletcher and the Ballet Academy) joined in the summer of 2011.

Stormbringer (Toronto/Parts Unknown)

With band members flying in for this gig from Denver, Colorado and Winterpeg, Manitoba you could say that Stormbringer is a truly trans-continental multi-national band of men of mystery, one of whom happens to live in the Junction and is exceptionally well liked in this community.  I speak of course, about the incomperable Tom Paterson.

Door starts at 9pm, and the cover is a measely $5.  Come on out to show your Ottawa pride, or represent for the Junction.  Either way, we hope to see you on Saturday.
