DJ Classique started out in the nightlife seen as a promoter creating a number of A-list events that were uniquely musically themed events, being involved in programming for these special nights and seeing the impact that was created is where DJ Classique’s desire to DJ grew.

“For me seeing DJ’s spin, how they move the crowd and the exchange between party goer and DJ it became contagious and the need to satisfy that curiosity led me to the turntables and I have learned to express that love by playing a diverse range of music from multiple genres, eras, speeds and tempos.”

Growing up DJ Classique was inspired by the music his parents played, Motown (Marvin Gaye, Supremes), Retro, Funk (James Brown), Disco, Pop and fell in love with the various classics and sounds. He gravitated toward 80s era music (Nu wave, Synth- pop) and 90s hip hop in his formative years and the musical taste has grown to reggae, soca ,rock and Top 40. This wide range of musical taste has assisted him by playing sets that can draw from a wide range of genres. Currently, DJ Classique has a weekly residency at Locus Lounge and plays out in a variety of other settings such as weddings, private/special events, fundraisers, showcases, in store appearances and corporate dinner functions and galas.
